  5th Year Anniversary
May 31 - June 3, 2007
Blue Ridge, GA

For our 5th year anniversary, Kevin and I stayed at the High Country Hideaway cabin in Blue Ridge, GA.
The best part was that these cabins are dog-friendly and we were able to take Miley and Howie with us! :)

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside was absolutely gorgeous!!! It was very spacious, 2 stories, and had everything we needed for the long weekend. :)

The master bedroom had a fireplace, king sized bed, and the bathroom had a claw foot tub!!
Fortunately there was also shower upstairs. ;)

The upstairs bedroom had great little sitting area. I'm sure that sofa makes down into a couch too for extra sleeping. :)

We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch, with the swinging chair and best of all-the jacuzzi! What cracked me up were all the boom boxes around the house... Even on the porch! :)

On Friday, our first full day there, we did some hiking and visited Falls Branch Falls.

We even saw this little turtle! :)

On Saturday, we went to Jacks River Falls.

Jacks River Falls was absolutely gorgeous, and it was more like 3 falls all in one. You could hike up and down them on the rocks, and in some places stand right underneath the falls. It was quite a haul to get down there (4 mile hike, with the puppies!) but it was definitely worth it. Or, it would've been worth it if we were able to stay more than 30 minutes. :P It started pouring raining not long after we got there, so unfortunately I had to pack up my camera and was only able to photograph this lower fall. :( But the other two were just as gorgeous. :D

As you can see in this pic, Jacks River Falls has a cliff that's perfect for jumping. It also has a rope swing for swinging right into the swimming hole underneath the falls. Kevin and I didn't attempt this time. ;) Mountain water is just too cold in May!!! :)

Miley and Howie with their Daddy by the falls. :)

Howie loved climbing on and exploring all of the rocks, but Miley just wanted to sleep. She was so tired from that long hike! Just look at those tired, dirty paws... :)
